Become Part of the Story.

Anyone who's had the courage to pursue big dreams knows that starting the journey can be the hardest part. Landry's quest literally begins with those first few steps. StandProud helped him take them. We are asking you to take the next step in sharing this story, in celebration of Universal Children's Day, November 20th.

A Common Vision.

You are an athlete or a craftsman, a mentor or someone who's overcome great challenge -- in short, you know what it is to strive, to achieve and to make a difference. In recognition of Universal Children's Day (November 20), we are asking you to share Landry's story and to help raise awareness for children with disabilities.

Landry is proud to be an athlete; we were honored to film him and the other youth and craftsmen of StandProud.

In recognition of Universal Children's Day, November 20th, we are asking you to share the video via your website, blog, social media, and/or online magazine.

In our own postings, we will encourage individuals to honor those who helped them in their childhood and to ask friends who did the same for them:

"As a kid, @honoree helped me to #StandProud. @friend, Who helped you #StandProud? See the story: goo.gl/I6XpBK #UniversalChildrensDay"

Additional information follows. For now though, thank you for viewing and becoming a part of the story.

Sincerely,

DECADE and Bittersweet Foundation

StandProud seeks to maximize the number of children and youth in DR Congo who have access to walking aids and who are able to participate in all normal aspects of Congolese society. StandProud fulfills its mission by raising financial support to provide leg braces (with corrective treatment rehabilitative services) at no cost to poor families and by promoting the integration of children with disabilities through increased opportunities for normal education and through participation in cultural activities.
